Group of people holding first aid manikins

Summary: The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (EFAW) is ideal for most low risk businesses, self-employed workers, coaches and trainers. All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet the new guidelines set out by the HSE in October 2013 and meet the requirements of the First Aid at Work (First Aid) regulations 1981 and subsequent 2016 changes.

Add-ons

Do you work with Children and/or babies?

If so, we can deliver a combined Emergency First Aid at Work and an Emergency Paediatric First Aid course on the same day to save you having to take both courses separately. The course is 30 minutes longer to cover the additional syllabus requirements and costs an additional £50 for the time plus £20 per person for the extra equipment used and Certification.

Not every person needs to take it, if you only have a few, the rest can leave after the EFAW part and there is no £20 charge for those.

SIA add-on – Life-threatening bleeds and Airway

For those taking this qualification to meet SIA requirements, you need this add-on. A separate Certificate will be issued. It covers the treatment of life-threatening bleeds including haemostatic dressings and tourniquets, as well as maintaining an Airway for suspected spinal injury casualties. It can be included (for an additional fee) on request for Private Group Bookings or as an add-on for our public courses.

+F Forestry add-on

For those that need the Forestry +F First Aid qualification this can be added as an additional Certificate. Click here for details.

Anaphylaxis add-on

Anaphylaxis add-on. EFAW does not include dealing with Anaphylaxis, but with heightened awareness of the problem and increasing allergies it is a recommended add-on. We can add this to any course for £50 for the additional training plus £5 per person that needs the Certificate. Please allow an extra 15-30 minutes on the course duration.
