Forest School First Aid

Summary: Forest School staff need a 16 hour Outdoor First Aid qualification. This can be met by completing a 4 Minutes Outdoor First Aid course but this is not especially geared to the Forest School environment. This 4 Minutes Forest School First Aid course meets the criteria laid out. This course would also meet the criteria laid out for Level 2 and Level 1 qualified Forest School Assistants.

In its Guidance note – First Aid for Forest School, the Forest School Association (FSA) strongly recommends that a Level 3 qualified Forest School Practitioner holds a current first aid qualification as covered in the Institute for Outdoor Learning (IOL) statement of good practice for Outdoor First Aid at Band 3.

This course, Certified by 4 Minutes is aligned with the Institute of Outdoor Learning’s Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid at Band 3

4 Minutes’ courses avoid the use of Powerpoints as much as possible, focusing instead on practical skills and training scenarios. It also has a Moulage kit so can add some realism to the scenarios.

Add a 12-hour Paediatric First Aid qualification. (OFSTED / EYFS compliant)

If some, or all learners also need to hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate we can incorporate this into the teaching. Attendees that need it will receive a 12-hour, Ofsted / EYFS compliant Paediatric First Aid Certificate as well. There is an additional fee of £20 per student for this optional qualification.

Add a 6-hour Emergency First Aid at Work qualification

If some, or all learners also need to hold a 1-day Workplace First Aid Certificate, we can incorporate this into the teaching. Attendees that need it will receive a 1-day emergency First Aid at work Certificate as well. There is an additional fee of £20 per student for this optional qualification.

All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to the same standards where possible as First Aid at Work topics. The course content fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 and subsequent updates.
Whilst we try and maintain a fixed cost for our courses, our prices may be subject to an additional fuel charge if your location is a distance away from our nearest trainer to you.
There is a £50 supplement per day if that day is a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
