First Response First Aid for Scout and Girlguide leaders

First Response First Aid for Scout and Girlguide leaders

(Click here to return to our full Course list)

Summary: This course is designed specifically for Scout and Girlguide leaders. It meets the syllabus as laid down in the joint First Response First Aid Training course (Module 10)

Course duration

According to the specification the course is a minimum of 6 hours. We feel that in our experience this is not long enough without it feeling like a route march. In an ideal world we would look to run this over two days (12 hours) however we are also aware of the constraints that voluntary organisations face on both time and money. We have therefore come up with the following options:

7 hours course over 1 day. This will deliver the course but with an extra hour the pace is more appropriate allowing for more practice and questions.

8 hours course over 1 day. This is exactly the same as the 7 hour course plus an extra hour to run some scenarios to allow skill practice. Add £50 to the course cost to cover this extra time.

Allow extra time for breaks.
