Summary: This course is suitable for Religious Groups that have a wide age range of members, from under 18s to the elderly. For example, Churches, Synagogues and Mosques.
Standard First Aid courses cater for one or the other, not both. This course bridges all age ranges from toddlers upwards.
Details:
Are you part of a Religious Group or Organisation catering to a wide range of ages and activities? Say a Church, synagogue or Mosque, or you organise family-orientated events at your place of worship? You have a duty of care over anyone that visits, from volunteers to children and parents, teens and adults, possibly elderly ones.
Regular courses such as Emergency First Aid at Work covers the Workplace requirements, but doesn’t deal with looking after children and the Emergency Paediatric First Aid deals with children and infants but not adults. Neither course is ideal and, in addition these 1-day courses don’t always cover the sorts of injuries or medical conditions that may actually happen in real life.
Our Church First Aid course that takes the best of these two syllabuses and also adds in other subjects that you might deal with. This course is only run as a Private Group Booking for up to 12 people.
What’s in the course?
The First 3-hours are our Basic Life Support Syllabus, which is a useful Workplace qualification for Businesses that don’t need a fully qualified First Aider (get in touch if this is what you need). Any Business that just needs an Appointed Person would benefit from this qualification.
The second 3 hours covers a broad range of topics that, in our opinion, are likely to occur, but do chat with us if there is anything specific that you want covered. See the suggested syllabus, below.
We keep it practical, so there is plenty of time to practice the skills and to ask questions.
