Basic Life Support & Mental Health Awareness

Summary: This 1-day course consists of a 3 hour Basic Life support course and a 3 hour Mental Health in the Workplace Awareness course with a short break inbetween. It’s suitable for small and medium size Businesses, especially those whose staff can experience moderate amounts of stress – Hospitality, telephone support and other client-facing roles, for instance.

Basic Life Support

This First Aid course is ideal for Organisations and groups wanting a basic First Aid course without the formality of a full First Aid at Work course. We can tailor some content to your needs. For Businesses that do not need a Workplace First Aider under HSE guidelines this will equip them with the basic skills needed in an emergency.

An optional Anaphylaxis Awareness module is available for an additional £50 + vat. Allow an extra 15-30 minutes for this training. Those that attend will have the training added to their Certificate.

Mental Health in the Workplace Awareness

Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.

This awareness course is suitable for everyone as it provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a suspected mental health condition and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost a person towards professional help.

There is a small break in the morning and afternoon sessions and also for lunch in between.

Note that although 4 Minutes is a National Training Organisation, this course is only available in certain areas of the country as it required dual-skilled trainers to deliver both courses. Contact us to find out if it is available where you are.

All courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to the same standards where possible as First Aid at Work topics. The course content fully meets the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 and subsequent updates.
Whilst we try and maintain a fixed cost for our courses, our prices may be subject to an additional fuel charge if your location is a distance away from our nearest trainer to you.
There is a £50 supplement per day if that day is a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
